This class covers basic computer information. You do not have
to own a computer to explore the possibilities of this world. We
will learn computer jargon, learn how to get into and out of software,
how to maneuver the mouse, when to click and when to double click, how
to use the CD, how to interpret the icons or the crazy looking page with
its arrows, doors and other odd shapes. Based on the wishes of those
in attendance, we will explore many things that computers can do such as
word processing, using clip art, keeping a budget, using the Internet.

Microsoft Word: The Basics
and Beyond.
Learn word processing with Microsoft Word. You will learn the
basic skills from creating an original document, saving, editing, setting
margins & tabs, to printing. Among other things, we will work
with headers and footers, inserting objects, tables and using multiple
columns in one document.

Microsoft Excel: Introduction
Excel is spreadsheet software that allows you to work with rows and
columns of numbers, creating formulas that perform the math so you don’t
have to. You can use spreadsheets to simply have data in neat columns,
create budgets or something more complex. This class will take you
from the basic steps in creating and editing a spreadsheet, to applying
simple math calculations, to enhancing and printing.

Microsoft Access: Introduction
This application from the Microsoft Office package is a database, which
allows you to keep multiple records of like information in one file and
retrieve this information in a variety of ways. Learn to create and
edit tables, queries, forms and reports. Achieve an understanding
of how relationships in a database work.

Microsoft Excel II:
Intermediate
After a brief review of Microsoft Excel, we will learn: advanced spreadsheet
functions; creating charts and linking worksheets. Participants will
also learn to link and embed an Excel object into Microsoft Word along
with creating three dimensional formulas.

After a brief review of the introductory material, we will explore
advanced reporting and form making, creating mailing labels, more queries
using advanced criteria; relationships between tables; and merging an Access

This is a presentation graphics program for creating presentations
for delivery to audiences via the computer or with an overhead projector.
This is an introduction class where you will learn how to create slides,
set up text, objects (clip art or pictures), tables, graphs, organizational
charts and then how to make the presentation an interesting one.

Microsoft Outlook
Finding your way around this program can help you manage your
contacts and address book as well as your folders, calendar, tasks and
email. Do not confuse this product with Outlook Express. They
both have email and address books but are not the same application.

Adobe Photoshop is often considered the industry
standard for digital image enhancement, photo retouching, and image compositing.
Participants will learn multiple levels of undo and redo, editable text
with character level formatting, flexible and precise color management

focuses on scanning images, working with filters, palettes, paths and layer
